Catch Clariba at the SIMO Network Trade Fair in Madrid from October 5-7

Barcelona, Spain: Clariba is proud to be one of the select partners exhibiting in the SAP Partner Zone at the SIMO Network Trade Fair in Madrid this week.

The SIMO Network brings companies and individuals together to exchange business and technical knowledge. Organized by IFEMA and held in the halls of Feria de Madrid, this annual meeting features commercial exhibitions, seminars, debates, and a wide-ranging program of activities for information and communications technology professionals. Last year 21,000 visitors attended the SIMO event over the course of three days.

The event is centered on four key areas: infrastructure and systems; business tools and solutions (including business intelligence); telecommunications and internet; and sector organizations and institutions.

Gain Powerful Analysis for Financial Management with Clariba Finance Central

Clariba is pleased to announce the release of the Clariba Finance Central demo, which highlights our latest financial management solution powered by SAP BusinessObjects. This BI solution was developed for one of our telco customers but is applicable to any corporate finance department in any industry.

The customer challenge that lead Clariba to develop this financal management solution was two-fold. From an IT perspective, the team spent 2 business days each month downloading information from the Hyperion Financial database and manipulating the data with other spreadsheets to create a set of graphs and tables. These graphs/tables were then copied and pasted in to a PowerPoint for the monthly management pack. The challenge from the business perspective was that the CFO had to wait several days for the information to be prepared and the overall reporting process lacked visual analysis capabilities.

Based on these challenges our customer wanted to consolidate their financial information and access it easily, gain better analysis capabilities (mainly to do with enhancing the visual components and enabling easy comparisons), and automate the financial reporting process to reduce monthly manual efforts and decrease errors. As a result Clariba developed centralized financial information in an easy-to-use dashboard allowing for extended analysis in a highly visual format.

"The Finance Central solution is completely automated, user-friendly and standardized, providing actionable insight to business users of all levels, including the CFO, and it can be adapted to any data source," comments Marc Haberland, CEO and Managing Partner of Clariba.

Clariba Finance Central was developed using several tools in the SAP BusinessObjects stack including: Data Integrator (to consolidate and aggregate the required KPIs in a finance datamart), BusinessObjects universe (with Query as a Web Service) and Xcelsius (for the interactive dashboard).

Clariba Launches Expert Business Intelligence Training

Clariba, a leader in end-to-end Business Intelligence (BI) consultancy and SAP BusinessObjects services and solutions, recently launched an enhanced training program, to fill a knowledge gap in the market. Following extensive research, Clariba found that there was a need not only to raise the general level of awareness about Business Intelligence in the corporate world but also to address knowledge gaps within BI-enabled companies. Clariba has been training end-users of  SAP BusinessObjects for over seven years. Within the past year, Clariba has expanded both their training portfolio and their customer base in Europe, Middle East, Africa and North America.

Spanish Insurance Provider Benefits from BusinessObjects XI Migration

Clariba demonstrates the value of Business Objects XI within Adeslas, a progressive health insurance provider in Spain.

Adeslas, a progressive health insurance provider in Spain, recently engaged Clariba to help them gain rapid and reliable access to policyholder data. The Adeslas Business Objects (BO) Administration team recognized the importance of updating their version of BusinessObjects in order to increase the functionality and productivity of their BI tool. Clariba consultants used their experience gathered in prior migrations to provide a smooth transition to Business Objects XI with minimal impact to the end-user base.

"Clariba understood our BI requirements from the beginning. As a result of their Business Objects expertise, this was the easiest migration we have ever experienced in the IT systems area," says Alberto Sisí, IT Manager at Adeslas. "The project was delivered to the fullest satisfaction of the BO Administration team and end users."

As a result of the migration to BO XI, the Adeslas BO Administration team no longer manually delivers and distributes reports, resulting in immediate ROI. With this migration Adeslas has also achieved integration with their IT platforms and security policies, allowing single sign-on for their users. This seamless integration into the work environment, coupled with Business Objects XI best-in-class reporting capabilities, has had a very positive effect on user satisfaction.
